Report workspace
Understand the report header, data table, metrics, tabs, and drilldown actions.
Open a report
A user must be logged in, match the report audience, and have the report enabled for their account. Plan and feature checks are applied when the report or an associated premium function is used.
Header metrics
UsersPeople with report relations, shown as avatars.
Time on reportTracked time for the current user and report page.

Report tabs

Table actions
The view tab uses Moodle’s table APIs. Depending on the report definition, the toolbar can provide:
- text search and field-specific filters;
- course, user, enrolment, module, status, and other menu filters;
- synthetic date columns for learning time and visit ranges;
- column visibility, ordering, renaming, sorting, and custom column controls;
- selected-row sharing, insights, and pattern analysis;
- standard Moodle download formats.
Exports & drilldowns
Exports apply to the report query and current parameters. Drilldowns open a focused modal—such as grade details, related records, or calendar data—without replacing the report page. The drilldown and calendar feature flags control premium drilldown surfaces.
Start narrow. Apply course, audience, date, or status filters before exporting or selecting rows. Smaller result sets are easier to review and safer to share.
