Get started Quickstart

Quickstart

Configure access, install a report, and deliver useful data in a few deliberate steps.

1. Open the workspace

In Moodle, go to Reports → Lenarys Analytics → Get started. The home page shows recently used reports and, for the Billing Admin, the first-run setup guide.

2. Connect the license

Open Preferences → General. Confirm that API mode, endpoint, license status, plan, and Billing Admin are correct. If the site is intentionally offline, choose manual mode in plugin settings and upload the supplied JSON license file.

Keep one owner. Select a real person as Billing Admin so catalogue approvals, audiences, and subscription review have clear ownership.

3. Install a report

  1. Open Library → Marketplace

    This tab contains the Lenarys Analytics report and app catalogue and is visible to the configured Billing Admin. It is separate from Moodle Marketplace, where subscriptions are purchased and managed.

  2. Find a report

    Use search, type, plan, and sort controls to narrow the catalogue.

  3. Review before installing

    Inspect metadata, required plan, columns, SQL snippets, validation messages, and preview data.

  4. Approve and install

    Only continue when the definition matches the intended data scope.

4. Grant access

Open the installed report and select Audience. Add one or more audience rules. For a controlled pilot, begin with selected users or a selected role.

No audience means no access. Non-Billing-Admin users cannot see or open a report until at least one audience rule matches them.

5. Use the report

Enable the report from Library for your user, open it, and then:

  • search or apply the report’s filters;
  • sort supported columns and choose visible columns;
  • use date controls when the definition provides them;
  • export the current report result;
  • select rows to share, summarize, or analyze when enabled.
