Terms of Use and Sale

Effective date: August 12, 2026
These Terms of Use and Sale (the Terms) govern access to the Lenarys website, the Lenarys Analytics plugin for the Moodle™ software platform, licence and entitlement services, report and app catalogue, APIs, documentation, support, and related services. They also govern purchases of Lenarys Analytics price options through Moodle Marketplace.
The seller is Lenarys, LLC, trading as lenArys (lenArys, we, us, or our). By accessing the services or completing a purchase, you accept these Terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
You may use the services only for lawful purposes and with sites running Moodle and related LMS accounts, systems, and data that you are authorised to manage. You are responsible for your users, administrators, configuration, data sources, permissions, report access, schedules, exports, AI settings, and use of outputs.
You must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, bypass plan or entitlement controls, overload an API, share licence credentials outside your organisation, or use the services to violate law or another person's rights. Nothing in this paragraph restricts rights granted by an applicable open-source licence or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
You must provide accurate account, site, billing, and tax information and keep credentials secure. Actions taken by your authorised users, including billing administrators and site administrators, are treated as actions of your organisation.
You are responsible for running supported Moodle and PHP versions; maintaining hosting, backups, cron, email, and security; configuring report access and retention; reviewing report definitions and outputs; and ensuring that your use of LMS data complies with applicable law and organisational policy.
You retain responsibility for LMS records, report definitions, schedules, settings, prompts, generated drafts, SQL snippets, support files, logs, exports, and other content you submit or process. You grant us only the rights reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and support the services, comply with law, and act on your instructions.
Reports, analytics, and AI-assisted output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Authorised users must review report definitions, SQL, permissions, outputs, and AI-assisted content before installation, sharing, or use in legal, academic, employment, financial, medical, or operational decisions.
When you buy a Lenarys Analytics price option through Moodle Marketplace, lenArys is the seller and Merchant of Record. Moodle Marketplace facilitates listing, discovery, checkout, payment processing through Stripe, invoicing where enabled, and customer access to downloads, but Moodle is not the seller of Lenarys Analytics.
The exact features, subscription period, price, currency, site limits, usage limits, and support level included in your purchase are those displayed in Moodle Marketplace when you order. If this website differs from the selected Marketplace price option, the price option shown and accepted at checkout controls for that purchase.
After installation, a new site includes a 30-day trial. No credit card is required for the trial. When the trial ends, subscription-only benefits may be restricted unless you activate a paid Moodle Marketplace price option. Installing the plugin or using the trial does not by itself begin a paid subscription or automatic renewal.
Prices, currencies, billing periods, available payment methods, and any invoice option are displayed before purchase. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless checkout states otherwise. As Merchant of Record, lenArys is responsible for its tax obligations; you remain responsible for accurate billing and tax information and for taxes imposed directly on you.
Recurring price options renew automatically for the billing period shown at checkout until cancelled. Stripe processes payments through the Stripe account connected to the Lenarys Analytics Marketplace listing. lenArys does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Failure to pay an amount when due may result in suspension or restriction of paid access. Price changes apply to new purchases and subscriptions; an existing subscription price does not update automatically unless you expressly accept a replacement price or applicable law permits a change after appropriate notice.
Unless the selected Marketplace price option states otherwise, one subscription covers one production Moodle site URL. You must not use one subscription for more sites than purchased, share a licence key between unrelated organisations, or resell a hosted service without written permission.
The services are subject to reasonable technical, security, and abuse-prevention limits. We may restrict activity that threatens the services, attempts to bypass plan controls, or materially interferes with other customers.
The Lenarys Analytics plugin code for the Moodle software platform is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights that licence grants.
A paid price option purchases the benefits described in that option, which may include catalogue access, premium functionality, licence validation and entitlement services, maintenance, updates, and a stated support level. Payment does not transfer ownership of lenArys trademarks, hosted services, documentation, catalogue content, or other proprietary materials.
During an active subscription, lenArys grants your organisation a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the purchased hosted services and premium content on the number of Moodle sites included in your price option. See the License page for a plain-language explanation of the distinction.
Moodle Marketplace controls access to plugin downloads. lenArys controls access to its catalogue, premium functionality, entitlement services, and external services. After payment is confirmed, Marketplace and Stripe event data may be used to create or update your entitlement.
Activation may require the Marketplace purchaser's email address, order information, licence key, and Moodle site URL. The plugin may connect to the lenArys API to validate the active plan, status, expiry, available catalogue items, and feature flags. Keep licence credentials secure and contact support before moving an entitlement to a replacement site.
Purchasing requires a Moodle Marketplace account and a payment method accepted through Stripe or an approved invoice arrangement. Connected licence validation and catalogue access require outbound HTTPS access from the Moodle site to the configured lenArys API.
We are not responsible for third-party services, Moodle hosting, or customer-managed infrastructure that we do not control.
Reports run against data inside your LMS environment. The lenArys licence API is not intended to receive LMS learner records, course content, grades, report result rows, scheduled-report attachments, or learning-time records.
For licensing, fulfilment, support, and security, lenArys may process Marketplace order, customer, plugin, and price identifiers; purchaser contact details; payment, invoice, refund, and subscription status; licence and plan information; Moodle site URL and software versions; installed lenArys catalogue identifiers; and support communications or technical logs you provide.
Moodle Marketplace and Stripe process purchase and payment information under their own terms and privacy notices. Our Privacy Policy explains how lenArys handles personal information.
Support requests may be sent to [email protected]. Standard support aims to provide an initial response within two business days. A price option that expressly includes priority support aims to provide an initial response within one business day. These are response targets, not guaranteed resolution times.
Support includes reasonable assistance with licence activation, subscription status, standard installation and configuration on supported Moodle versions, reproducible defects in unmodified Lenarys Analytics code, and documented features.
Support does not include LMS hosting or administration, custom development or SQL review, third-party integrations, unsupported versions, modified plugin code, training, or recovery from customer infrastructure failures unless separately agreed in writing.
While a subscription is active, lenArys will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the purchased services, address confirmed security issues, and provide compatible releases for Moodle versions identified as supported in the documentation or Marketplace listing.
Updates may add, change, or remove functionality when reasonably required for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or product improvement. We do not guarantee support for every future Moodle release or uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
You may cancel a subscription using the subscription-management options made available through Moodle Marketplace or Stripe. Unless the cancellation flow expressly states otherwise, cancellation stops renewal, access continues until the end of the current paid billing period, and no prorated credit is issued for unused time. Cancelling does not automatically delete the plugin or data stored in your LMS site.
Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, including for unused time, partial billing periods, downgrades, failure to use available features, or customer-managed configuration problems.
We will review requests concerning duplicate or incorrect charges, or a material failure to provide the purchased service that we cannot remedy within a reasonable time. Email [email protected] with the Marketplace order identifier and purchaser email address. Do not send payment-card details.
Approved refunds are issued through the connected Stripe account. A full refund may end the related subscription, premium access, entitlement, and Marketplace download access. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory cancellation, refund, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
When a subscription expires, is fully refunded, is cancelled with immediate effect, or remains unpaid after applicable retry or grace periods:
The installed plugin and previously installed reports or apps may remain in the LMS, subject to the GNU GPL and technical plan controls. lenArys does not automatically delete LMS data when a subscription ends; your LMS administrator remains responsible for retaining, exporting, or deleting locally stored data.
We may suspend or terminate paid access for non-payment, material breach, unlawful use, security risk, misuse of licence credentials, or attempts to bypass service restrictions. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.
Except for customer content and code licensed under the GNU GPL or another identified open-source licence, lenArys and its licensors retain all rights in the services, website, documentation, designs, trademarks, and proprietary content. These Terms do not grant ownership of that intellectual property.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation unless we agree otherwise in writing.
We will provide purchased services with reasonable care and skill. Except for rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, the plugin, reports, analytics, AI-assisted output, and hosted services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or suitability for a particular decision or environment.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, lenArys is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, lenArys's total aggregate liability arising from the services or a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected price option during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify lenArys against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the services, your customer content, or your material breach of these Terms.
These Terms are intended to operate consistently with the Moodle Marketplace Provider Terms of Use. If a Marketplace rule conflicts with these Terms regarding checkout, payment processing, subscriptions, or Marketplace download access, the applicable Marketplace rule controls that platform function.
A signed order form, enterprise agreement, data processing agreement, or other written agreement with lenArys controls where it expressly conflicts with these Terms and the override is permitted by applicable Marketplace rules and law.
The governing law and forum stated in a signed agreement apply. If no signed agreement specifies them, disputes are governed by the law applicable to Lenarys, LLC and the transaction and may be brought in a court with competent jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections and other rights that cannot be waived.
We may update these Terms for future purchases and use of the services. Changes do not retroactively alter an existing paid term unless required by law, reasonably necessary for security or service operation, or accepted by you. The version presented and accepted at purchase applies to that purchase, subject to any lawful later amendment.
